This article shows an application of PhyloH (a software for phylogenetic diversity analysis) to compare the microbiome of bee's larvae and its parasite Varroa destructror. The approach takes full advantage of the repeated comparison by this experimental design that identifies  the stable difference across the 21 pairs of microbiome of the larvae and its parasite. The BioVeL workflow packages together the python parser for the input file in QIIME format with the call to the web service that hosted the program to perform the analysis.

At the final review of the project by the EC, one of the reviewers said: “Incredible work done with a community that is not unified. Remarkable work. It opens for new development in a near future. Hope for success. Good project. Happy that you have been financed three plus years ago.”
