Ecosystem Modelling Workflows

CNH2OThe Biome-BGC is a process-based biogeochemical model family (originally from NTSG, University of Montana, USA) that can be used to simulate carbon, nitrogen and water pools and fluxes of different terrestrial ecosystems. Another branch of the original model was developed and improved (see: Biome-BGC MuSo), and a Web service and workflow based open modelling environment was constructed and deployed for supporting ecosystem modelling research.

At the final review of the project by the EC, one of the reviewers said: “Incredible work done with a community that is not unified. Remarkable work. It opens for new development in a near future. Hope for success. Good project. Happy that you have been financed three plus years ago.”
